Exploring Mental Health in LGBTQ+ AAPI Youth

Today, the LGBTQ+ community continues to face issues of stigmatization, leading to significant struggles with mental health. This stigma is often worse for Asian American youth due to traditionalist values in family culture. Thus, it is important to ensure that our children are comfortable in their own skin and have the necessary support and resources to navigate their own complex identities. Learn from speaker Ren Lee (Psychotherapist and social worker) and panelists Eli L. (Sam Barlow High School 2022) and Kristy W. (Washington State University 2022) to help Asian American youth navigate their sexual identity, as well as strategies to support them.

Learn from Dr. Szu-Hui Lee Ph.D. (Clinical Instructor at Harvard Medical School and Director of Counseling and Psychological Services at Phillips Exeter Academy) and student panelists Eleni Antonis (Lakeridge High School 2023) and Roshun Sunder (University of California Berkeley 2024) to spot signs of stress and anxiety in your children, as well as strategies to support them.
